Courtney provides therapy and assessments for children, teens, and young adults, addressing anxiety, depression, autism, and learning concerns with a supportive approach.

Courtney is a clinical psychologist who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. A Baltimore native, she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and English from Wake Forest University before completing her Master’s and Doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Loyola University Maryland.

Courtney has extensive experience in pediatric psychology, developmental assessment, and autism evaluation. She trained and later served on faculty at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, where she provided outpatient therapy, feeding therapy, inpatient consultation, and comprehensive psychological assessments. She also completed advanced training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), and has conducted developmental evaluations for infants through young adults. Her background also includes identifying learning disorders, attentional challenges, and emotional concerns such as anxiety, OCD, and depression.

In addition to her assessment work, Courtney is passionate about providing therapy that is collaborative, strengths-based, and family-focused. She enjoys helping children and teens reduce anxiety and depression, build self-esteem, strengthen social skills, and improve overall well-being. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, interpersonal approaches, and attachment-based principles, tailoring treatment to each child’s unique needs. She also offers parent consultation and parent management training.

Courtney values close collaboration with school teams, pediatricians, psychiatrists, and other providers to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care. She is excited to bring her pediatric and assessment expertise to Heartwood and is dedicated to helping each child and family grow, thrive, and meet their goals.
