As a clinical intern at Hospice of the Chesapeake, he provided grief counseling to family members of individuals who were dying or had passed away. Through a partnership with the Anne Arundel County Mobile Crisis Team, he also supported community members coping with sudden loss related to homicide, suicide, and acute medical events. Since 2017, he has volunteered with Experience Camps, a program that supports children who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver.

In addition, John-Henry has clinical experience at the Greater Baltimore Counseling Center, where he provided care to children, adolescents, adults, and first responders. His work has focused on concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-harm, and life transitions. Across these areas, he emphasizes the development of effective coping strategies and supports clients in moving forward while meaningfully integrating their experiences.
